How to Register and Take Classes
How E-Learning Works
Each class consists of 3 components;
1. Lecture which is an outline form of the content
2. Class discussions which are done in a private "message board" format
3. Videos
Each day, the instructor will post the days "Lessons" which consist of 1-3 lectures. The instructor will also post questions related to the lesson for students to "discuss" on the private message board.
Student may log in at any time of the day or night to read the lecture and post answers to the questions.
Each student must complete the rules test that is posted for each course the first day. This is an open book test and must be taken BEFORE the last day of class. The test is based on FINA and USA Water Polo playing rules which are available for free download .
Each class is 5-7 days long and students should plan to spend 1-2 hours each day in "class"
How to Register
1. On the top of this page, click on the E-Learning subject you are interested in (Referee Class, Coach Classes etc).
2. Scroll down the page until you find the class you want
3. Select the class dates you wish
4. Select Quantity "1"
5. CLICK "YES" if you are a USA Water Polo Member to get the special USA Water Polo rates.
6. When checking out, the system will ask for your USA Water Polo Member number which will be validated before your credit card is charged. If there is a problem, you will be notified by email.
How to Sign In
Once you have registered for the class and paid the tuition, you will receive the following:
1. Receipt for credit card payment
2. Email from the instructor with your user name and password.
3. An email from Water Polo Academy explaining the process of online learning and where to access each feature of the class (videos, chat room, message board, etc)
4. Each class goes "live" the night before the start date you chose and when it is active, you will receive an email from the instructor telling you that the course has begun. You will NOT be able to access the class until you receive the "live" email.
To enter the class, enter your user name and password in the right corner and click "Go"
Classes can be taken any time of the day or night. The class contains a lecture "outline" but the main thrust of the class takes place on the message boards where the instuctor leads class discussions with questions. Many questions will revolve around the videos located in the Video library.
How Participation is Tracked and Recorded
All class rosters are tracked by Water Polo Academy and a copy sent to USA Water Polo each month. If you ever have any questions, we will be happy to send you verification of class attendence and grade.
At the end of every class you have the option to print out a .PDF diploma showing your successful completion and class grade. This can be saved to your hard drive or printed.
