The base situation is a shot before the end of a quarter (time expires while the ball is in the air) bars down and sits three quarters of the way in the goal. I see three scenarios which all occur a second or two after time expires. First, the floats the rest of the way into the goal by itself from wind, waves or whatever with no intervention from the goalie. Second, the ball is taken out of the goal by the goalie. Finally, in an attempt to get the ball out of the goal, the goalie inadvertently knocks the ball the rest of the way in the goal. So, can you tell me what the ruling is in these three situations?
